She has been modeling for the last 9 years with an incredibly passion about her profession and she stats: “I believe I can become more popular in many other countries and I would also like to have a modeling school for little girls, training them for the modeling industry”. Ladies and gentlemen, there comes Andrea Alexander!

 Thank you, it´s my pleasure to be here. I´m from Durban, South Africa http://www.durban.kzn.org.za/index.php?districthome+23 , a beautiful city, right on the coast, at the tip of the continent. I have been modelling for the past 9 years and have taken part in many shows and shoots. I am also a qualified beautician. I´m interested in anything that has to do with art, fashion and the entertainment industry.
I began modeling in 2000, I was scouted by an ex supermodel, Roberta Alessandri, who trained me in deportment courses and entered me into many beach competitions to boost my confidence and self-esteem, which is a crucial  asset every model should have. I was discovered by the top agency in Durban whom a friend referred me to. After a very intense interview I got accepted and began working as soon as I got my porfolio set up. My first test shoot was a bit challenging for me because I had to wear a top that was very revealing. I felt awkward and uncomfortable at first but during the shoot I got used to it. I did many shoots for Suncoast Casino, Sibaya Casino, clothing stores and Fashion shows. I began to have regular clients calling me back for work. I enjoy being able to make clothing look good, myself and getting paid to look good!!!

Sense of Humor and human clothing hangers!

I like working with a photographer who has a sense of humor because this always makes the shoot run smooth and quickly and it becomes more play than work, which in my opinion brings out the best pics, since the model is comfortable and relaxed= confident and it shows on the camera. Doing fashion shows is a bit funny because backstage guys and girls change together, usually the change station is one, not separate. This has made me felt comfortable and sure of my body and Im not shy to show it off.
Once I was doing a fashion show and I had my shoe come loose and nearly slip off my foot, I just continued walking like nothing happened and nobody even noticed, that´s the thing about being a good model, you need to carry on and never let the crowd know what´s going on. We have to realize that we are merely ''human clothing hangers'', and mobile ones too might I add!! I´ve worked with various south african fashion designers and clothing stores.

Modeling school for young girls

I would like to work for more famous designers. I believe I could achieve more as a model, I believe I can become more popular in many other countries and I would also like to have a modeling school for little girls, training them for the modeling industry and at the same time warn them about the bad influences modeling can have on you so that when they are approached with it, they know how to handle it. Just like you have bad models, you have good ones!.

Yes I am, I´d like to say, I like dressing up and going out. I like to look my best, as I always say: ''I have a reputation to uphold and an example to set'' When I´m at home though, I like to be as comfortable as possible, sometimes this includes looking a bit like a clown, but that´s ok, because there´s no cameras around!!! I also see myself as a trendsetter, I can be funky sometimes and try out different styles and outfits thrown together and this gets me a lot of attention.

Dating X Love: I am currently not interested in dating, I have goals and dreams that I would like to achieve  at present, however when I do decide that I´m ready, I usually go for guys that are taller than me, which is very important. I don't go for looks, I don´t mind him being average looking as long as he has a heart of gold and knows how to handle my career and all the attention I get, then we cool!!
His way to atract someone´s attention:
Andrea´s way to have fun, the places she usually goes and her way to spend the best of life: I don´t need a strategy to attract someone´s attention, I just have an awesome aura about me that stands out and I have a great personality. I seem to be able to find fun in any situation and no matter what Im doing, I love being around my friends and being my usual, crazy self. I like the outdoors and beng in the city and like most girls, I love shopping!

I have currently moved from South Africa, living in Chicago and I´m looking for an agency to sponsor me to continue working as a model here.
