I thought I wanted to go to school for music and be a rockstar someday
Hey Edward, thanks for having me, I grew up in Southern California and my whole life i was really into music actually. Ithought I wanted to go to school for music and be a rockstar someday. During my time in art school I began shooting myfriends bands and creating their artwork for their albums. I still really enjoy that part of my career but within the past 2years I have turned my attention to mens fashion. I guess I could define my style has pop/edgy or something along those lines haha.
The digital era: quality and tecnology for the photographers?
I dont know if it has helped but has made it a lot easier for just anyone to pick up a camera and call themselves aprofessional photographer. Back in the day you had to know so much more about photography and on top of that you had to have a really good eye to be successful.
Special moments, special models
Yes there are some special moments. i like to have everyone really calm and set the mood for what im trying to achieve in the photograph. Whether it´s having the right music or just talking through it with the model. Recently ive gotten to work with some fantastic models, including Geoff Burns from Wilhelmina and Nicholas Gamez from Ford.They are both such hard workers and really put their lives into their craft. i have a lot of respect for them and we work so well together. They have great attitudes on set and they make my job so easy. Also during my time in NYC i got to test with a lot of new amazing faces from Adam Models http://www.adam-nyc.com/ a new agency that a good friend of mine has started up. Also I´d have to say about special moments is meeting new people that i really connect with and can become friends with after the shoot is over with.

World economic crisis on fashion photography: Well i think the fashion world is still prevailing through all of this but I do see the fashion magazines hurting the most at these times, which is really sad to see.
Helping the models to be well succeceeded in their careers: There is the good and bad to that. I am definitely happy for everyone I have been able to help
Cool places for a shooting
Hotels: I love shooting at hotels because they are all so different and some have a lot of history to them. Times Square: One of my favorite places in New York city. Shared some special moments there.
Upcoming Projects
Right now I just moved back to california from being on the east coast most of this and last year. I´m working on a couple musical projects and a series of 7 photos for an art show this month. I have some projects in the works. nothing final but keep up with me on my blog for the latest
