Dominick Monteleone: "the best thing I’ve gotten out of modeling is the fact that it was a huge stepping stone into acting"

by Edward with Dominick

"While we were shooting, the photographer got a picture of me completely staring at her boobs because she was half naked, so he decided to show the picture to her right there, and instead of being insulted, it actually worked in my favor and I was no longer alone in my hotel that night"

Thanks for having me Edward! Well first off, I was born in southern California and have lived here my whole life. I played nearly every sport available in my community, and have always been a people kinda person. I have so many personal interests it’s almost too much to say. I became a model when I was 17 years old, and it was mainly because of the influence of my friends and family. It wasn’t something I strived to do really, I just happened to fall into it. I put a few pictures online of my body with a regular digital camera and a photographer sent me a message asking me to shoot with him. After we shot, he refused to give me the pictures and I nearly killed the mother f*#ker, but then he came to his senses and gave me a cd. I posted those pictures on models.com then got a few more messages from more photographers who then referred me to modelmayhem.com which has been my biggest help so far. I had a modeling agency, but after a while, I figured out how to do it myself without having to deal with their constant nagging. But so far, the best thing I’ve gotten out of modeling is the fact that it was a huge stepping stone into acting

Working with the photographers: the half naked girl!

When I work with a photographer, I think one of the most important attributes on his/her end is the ability to make you feel like it’s your friend taking your pictures instead of someone you have no idea who he or she is. Personally, I don’t have any special preparations before modeling aside from putting my game face on. There was a shoot I did once with a girl in Florida who I hadn’t met before, and while we were shooting, the photographer got a picture of me completely staring at her boobs because she was half naked, so he decided to show the picture to her right there, and instead
of being insulted, it actually worked in my favor and I was no longer alone in my hotel that night

Catwalk´s experiences: I ’ve only done one catwalk show really and it was for a designer who was close to if not literally insane. I had a good time and the clothes were pretty diverse, but man, he was a nut!
A fashionista?: When I’m not working, my day to day outfits consist of jeans and a white t-shirt or tank top. I like to be casual usually, you never know what you’ll run into!
Acting X Modeling: Yes, Acting came about after modeling, however I’ve always been in shows and stuff in school when I was younger. Anyway, there are a few movies I’ve been in that are on IMDB.com and have put a little bit of strength behind my name. When it comes to the similarities of acting and modeling, I’ve always said, “modeling is like acting without words, and vice versa, acting is modeling with words.” Both fields aren’t believable without the other. But when it comes to what I want to pursue, it’s actually filmmaking. I’m a writer/director and producer of my own films, which has actually been controlling my life for the past 3 months because of the film I’m working on

Imagine u a famous actor/model surrounded by a huge crowd. How you´d handle it?: If a crowd of people was to swarm me all of the sudden, I think I’d take out my phone and start filming so I would have evidence when I told my friends the story. I love interaction with people, so I would be more than happy to talk to everyone!
Human Rights, Freedom of Speech, War, Sexual Behavior: A lot of public issues like human rights and free speech aren’t too prominent where I live, so I don’t really have to face it. With war, I feel like the amount of knowledge needed to actually have a say in what’s happening nowadays is beyond most of the public’s ability to obtain, and personally, I don’t have the extensive amount needed, so I will refrain from giving my opinion. BUT, I believe a person’s sexual orientation is completely up to them and to deny someone the right to choose is ridiculous
Show biz, Fame and 5 most important things for his life: I love the show business, and that’s why I’m in it! Fame is an added bonus to success, and success is completing your goals in my opinion. The 5 most important things I think are happiness, ambition, success, respect, and the elimination of stress. If you eliminate the stress in life and continue on your ambitions with respect for other, your success will inevitably gain you happiness

Love X Dating: Dating, I’m the guy girls say they want but never go after
Sports: I play almost all…yes that includes golf
His way to get someone´s attention: I look at them
Enjoying the best of life: I try to enjoy life wherever I go, and it’s nearly always with friends
The craziest (nastiest?) thing he´s ever done in a summer time season: There’s so many crazy things I could name, but I think one of the best is when I spent 3 naked nights in Denver with one of the most gorgeous girl in the world. Now THAT was crazy in it’s own way
Fav body part: My abs and I do upside down sit up
Fav undies for his daily activities and for those coooool sexy moments (LOL!): I can only wear boxer briefs, I gotta have the tight feeling of security down there! They usually tend to be sexy
enough for any occasion
Fav singer: Michael Buble, he’s amazing
Fav food: Italian, gotta stay true to my name!
