Hello everyone, it's a pleasure to be here after reading some friend's interviews in this website. Very cool and clever questions. My full name is Douglas Neitzke Rorrato, my whole family since my great grandparents were born here in Brazil, and their parents are from Italy and Germany. My mom and dad live in my hometown Campo Mourão (located in the countryside of Paraná state, south of Brazil) with my brother. The whole economy here depends on the agriculture, if it's going well everybody is happy lol. I'm here now for a month, enjoying the organic and fresh food with my family and friends, also such a peaceful place for chilling out. I can drive just 20 min to swim in the river and jump from the waterfalls In 2005, when I was 16 a scouter found me in my hometown, he invited me to come to São Paulo and I joined an agency. I decided to become a model when I heard that i could travel around the world and make my own money. I did my first test shooting, i had fun and they cut my hair, all my friends found it very funny cause I used to have long hair.Definitely the best thing is traveling, i can work in my other projects meeting people and having more ideas for my young life
Working with photographers: playing a character! I like most when we have sort of a situation, when we play someone´s else and the photographer tell me who he wants me to be, things works normally when we inspire each other and it's much more fun to spend a day of work. The catwalks, the fashion designers, the unusual/funny backstages!
I was about to walk a show in Tokyo. I was the first one and they told me to be careful because it was very dark, the lights would be turned on only when I was in the runway, So, I thought I could do 3 steps then turn to my right and go in. I bumped my face into the wall in my second step and the sunglasses I was wearing fell down. When I squatted to pick it up I noticed it was broke and the lights went on so I threw it inside the backstage and went in the runway. When I came back, everyone was worried if I was hurt. I was fine but felt awkward and very sorry for the designer. Luckily we could not see anything in the video I like doing shows, specially when you arrive there and meet friends that you haven't seen for a while.
Also, when we are in a nice location such as palaces in Paris or in a forest in Rio de Janeiro. I like when the atmosphere is calm in the backstage, with no pressure everybody works better. I´ve already walked in Paris for: Ann Demeleumester, Armand Basi, Blak, Cerruti, Damir Doma, Dior Homme, Dries van Noten, Gaspard Yuerkevich, Hugo Boss, Juun J., Kenzo, Kris van Asche, Lanvin, Masatomo, Miharayasuhiro, Number Nine, Raf Simons, Tim Hamilton, Ute Ploier, Wooyoungmi. London: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Katie Eary, James Lung, John Rocha, JW Anderson, Topman Design.
The fashion on his life, a famous model? "I´m just a normal guy" I'm not into buying or following trends. My way to wear always change, depends on my mood and occasion. Usually plain shoes or trainers, skinny black pants and t-shirt.I don't mind talking or answering questions to anybody, they might go wild for the curiosity, when they talk to me they'll notice that i'm just a normal guy Human Rights, Free of speech, Sexual behavior: "It´s all about respect" If we start to discuss more about those issues and really understand each other minds, our world could be better. Hopefully the youth generation is getting the conscience that money is not everything. I believe that slowly the world's becoming closer: cultures, countries and people. We live in a a globalized world. It´s sad in a way because we lost the traditions and even the culture, but in my idea of peace we can not have thousands of minds thinking that their ancestors had born in a place that belongs to them today. We must free ourselves from extreme nationalism and
