Hello World of Models, it´s my pleasure to share my story with you guys. My name is Douglas Venhold, 20 years old, living in New York now and I was born in Criciúma SC-Brazil. I always loved playing sports in general, and, of course, as a brazilian guy, soccer is my favorite one. As a matter o fact I used to be a soccer player. I have a sister who lives with mom and dad. My grandparents are our neighbors. Life is good in Criciúma, not really big town, but living there you can have lots of fun

In 2006 I was walking downtown Criciuma and doing some shopping with my mother. So, there was this guy starting to talk to mom in the street. I came over I came over to check out what was going on. He invited me to become a model and I decided to give a try. I had never thought about being a model before. So from this day on, I quit soccer career and started modeling.There is not much going on in Criciúma for modeling. My first job was a fashion show. I remember that I was little
bit nervous, but I enjoyed it a lot. I think the Best thing about modeling is to be able to meeting people And travel around the world. For example, I never thought that someday I´d be at The Great Wall in China, and it only happened thanks to modeling

Working as a teamwork and the international catwalks

It´s very important when we work as a real teamwork. Both (the photographer and the model) respect each other as a professional partnership and makes the job a real special moment. I never had unusual backstages. But funny ones, for sure: what do you expect from a couple of brazilians models together? Hahahhaha, We gotta make the time goes fast, so we always try to make it nice moments

I loved it Here in NYC I got some nice jobs too: Tommy hilfiger, Calvin Klein and others. I just have to thank GOD for all the blessings. Now, I´m really happy and excited for the europeans seasons

A fashionista?: When I´m at home, I always like to feel comfortable and relaxed without concerning with a specific trend. When I´m going out I always wear clothes that really make me feel happy, otherwise nothing gonna look good on me
Imagine u a famous model surrounded by a huge crowd. How you´d handle it?: First off, that gonna be awesome! I may just gonna say to everyone take it easy, but you guys would ask me "what if it doesn´t work?" Well, I´d run away. hahahhahahah
Human Rights, Freedom of Speech, Wars and Sexual behavior:I think everyone has the right to express their opinions and feeling about all these issues. Sexuality is not something you can chose, you do whatever you wanna do, the life is yours, you do whatever you think is right for you. Respect to each other, that´s the way to make this world, a better world
Show biz, Fame and the most important things for his life: I´m not looking for Fame, im looking forSuccess in my job. People recognize me through my professional job. Most important things for me are:

The craziest (nastiest?) thing he´s ever done in a summer time season: Brazil, new year´s eve, my buddies and I used to “jump waves”. It meanslike good luck. So that day I didnt jump waves, I swam wearing just underwear in a f* freezing water!
Fav body part and why: I think my whole body is perfect. I wouldn´t change it nothing hahahahah
Favorite singer and which music he listens in his IPOD: I got 70 gb of the most different styles of music to listen in different moments of time
Fav food: I shouldn´t, but I´m crazy about breads
