Photographer Felix Dasilva: "Helping models with their careers is like investing in the future, so why not? If they have what it takes and they really want to grow, they should be given the chance"

In this second part interview, Felix Dasilva shares his cool moments shooting the amazing models around the world and his top cool places for a shooting. Thanks again Felix for sharing some exclusive pics with all my World of Models family!
There are many special moments. I love the moment of photographing. Ana Beatriz Barros has certainly given me some of my favorite memories ever but although I am singling her name as an example, it would be unfair to not to mention that now there are many faces and names crossing through my mind. She just symbolizes all of them in a way. But a special moment, let me think...I was working with a stylist called Lalita Lu in Australia and we were doing an editorial with beach clothes from the 50's all beautiful vintage stuff. Three very nice models. But the assistant that was helping me to measure the light was one of the worst I have ever worked with and at some point I didn't really know what I was doing anymore (light wise) because the clouds were moving too fast through the skies. But in the end when we looked at the results, it was away better than I xpected. It was beautiful
Helping models in their careers: investing in the future Helping models with their careers is like investing in the future so why not? If they have what it takes and they really want to grow, they should be given the chance. I don't see that as something really special, I think the industry is already too scared of any new talent, that's in all fields. It is all too insecure and that screens talents but it also stops true talents from growing once in a while. I think we all should help each other. Unfortunately some forgot how they got there
The backstages: a genuine atmosphere If the designer is confident about what he is doing, the backstage will be relaxed. I remember all the backstages from Amir Slamas for example, he was always smiling to everybody, very relaxed and that created a genuine atmosphere that contributed when the model went on the runway, to show that his new collection was also relaxing. Lenny's backstages in Rio are always a ball. mainly because Lenny is a fantastic fun person herself.
Top 5 places for a shooting #1 Some of the Caribbean islands are very scenic for outdoor. Like Bonaire in the Dutch Antilles or Barbados #for example
