My name is Gustavo Granados, the second of three guys. I was born in Venezuela, place where I am now working as an International Agent http://www.vmodo.com. After my career as an International Model http://www.gustavogranados.com . I´m a guy in love with photography and the brazilian martial art, Capoeira I was 19 years old when someone asked me to Join a male model contest and the rest is history. I`m 26 years old now, not longer working as a model anymore, but I can`t leave the fashion world. I enjoy representing models overseas, and let them to have the oportunity to build a career in the modeling industry. We are the only Scouting Agency in Venezuela at the moment, but it is still just the beggining for us. I always loved the entertainment business, I remember when I was a kid, I wanted to be an actor or someone famous.

Modeling and Photographers

I`m happy with what I`ve done so far, maybe I could work for a longer time, there are so many models of my age or even older. I just wanted to try to see this business from other point of view which is behind the scene. Management, Photography... That doesn`t mean I dont do modeling jobs anymore, I still do catwalks and several good jobs. I dont think there is any previous preparation before shootings. I always used to have fun with everyone on the set. Even if was a photoshoot, a tv comercial or even a catwalk. That makes the job even nicer.

The fashion world: "Models got to have an outstanding personality"

Fashion inspire everything, everyday you try to wear something that looks good and makes you feel good. It can be glamurous for some people and only clothing for others. But at the end it will always be fashion. I guess none will come out naked. LOL The International modeling market is requesting younger people, new faces all the time, the brand new models are the ones with better oportunity, but also a lot more competition. Nowadys many young people want to be a model, there are many agencies scouting all over the world, many markets are getting bigger and bigger, I guess
there is not only the right look and being young, models also got to have an outstanding personality.

Modeling X World Economic crisis: The world crisis affected any business, including modeling. There are not the same quantity of castings than it used to be before, the budgets are not the same as we used to have, less auditions and the worst thing for models is that everyday we have much more models coming out. Anyway, even with the crisis, the publicity can´t stop, so there will always be work for the fashion industry
The key of the successs: There are several keys to success. First off, you need to know how to manage the talent´s career, being in good places in the right moment. Be patient, for some models it takes more time to start working than the others.
Catwalks: Working for Yohji Yamamoto 2005/06 in Milano was a nice experience, it was his first show in Italy.
A fashionista?: A pair of Nike shoes, a Tommy Hilfiger jeans and a Hollister Shirt are good for me in my daily working at the agency.

His way to atract someone´s attention: Maybe not paying attention to that person is the best way to atract someone´s attention. hahahaha
Having fun, places he goes and enjoys the best of life: The beach, I used to party a lot when I was a model but I guess I`m getting a bit older. hahaha. Don`t enjoy it that much right now.
Craziest thing he´s ever done in a summer time season: Taking a bus for 14 hours, then take a boat for two more hours, just to go to a party?? Not anymore, next time I will flight there. hahahaha
