Hello, I´m Juliana Paiva, 16 years old, model, actress and I´m now acting in a brazilian soap opera "Cama de Gato" by Globo Network. I was born in Rio de Janeiro (for sure, Rio is a wonderful city) and I enjoy every cool place that this special city give us. The people, the beachs, the natural landscapes.... Also, my likes include going to malls with my boyfriend, meeting my friends, dancing, movies, theaters and so on.

Modeling and the Performing Arts: How did all began?

This vocation came since I was a little child. My father was a model and I used to enjoy his pics he did for fashion campaigns, runways and ad campaigns during 80´s and 90´s. As a child, I used to 'play' model with my friends whenever I was with them. Top Kids was my first modeling agency with only 9 years old but 2 years later I had to move to northeast due my father´s work. There I started a new experience starting some acting courses with terrific directors (Marcelino Câmara, whom I had the privilege to act in 3 plays and Nara Rúbia). It was a very important moment in my life and I became more and more enthusiastic about the Performing Arts.

In 2009 I came back to Rio and my fathers and I started to search for a new agency. I found 40º Models and in a couple of days, after finish my book. I was invited for some casting calls. The first one was for a company called "Vivo", just some days before Carnival. I had never seen so many people in a casting call (lol), but, guess what, I was approved! I thanked GOD for that! And since then, new opportunites and brand new emotions have been coming to my way: tv commercials, sites, fashion editorials, international magazines, a special appearence at "Viver a Vida" (brazilian soap opera), a new film coming soon called "Desenrola", just to name a few. What I like most about modeling are the fashion stylists creations, their inovations and how they present those ideas for the audience in the runways. I like the hairs, make ups, everything!

I always wanted to have my own fashion style. In my personal and professional I like to be different from the others. That´s what make us an interesting person and also gets the attention from the strategic people that will give us that opportunity we ´ve been pursuing for. So far I´ve been conciliating my both careers (Acting and Modeling). It´s all about focus, work, work and more work. And concerning photographers, I enjoy posing to the ones that make us comfortable to the cams. I admire their sensibility and creativity in every click. They got "the feeling" to achieve the best result with seriousness and professionalism. I son´t have any previous preparation before the shooting. I never be alone during the shootings and I just pray GOD that everything runs fine.

Her fashion style

Sometimes I feel like a casual style, in other moments I like to dress like a 'powerful woman' aha ah. I like to be connected to the fashion trends, but I got my own fashion style too. Being in the media, people always want to know about what you like to wear and sometimes your fashion atitude have a tremendous impact on people´s lives.

The fans and show biz

Wow, it´s an amazing experience to be recognized by the people, sign autographs and get such cool vibes from them. Beauty X Professionalism

In a first moment Beauty really help us in our personal and professional lives. But, it´s not enough. It´s worthless if we don´t look inside us. It´s the inner beauty that really matters. Our attitude reflects our image for the people who read about us. So, I think Beauty and Professionalism along with the right attitude must be together.

Brasil: my country and I´ll always be proud to live here and to believe that it´s possible to decrease the violence, to work for better social conditions, education and to take care of our environment. Our country is so special and I believe that we can work for a better world

Fav music: I like brazilian music a lot.I don´t have a favorite singer but there are some that I admire (Lulu Santos, João Bosco, Djavan, Marisa Monte, Cássia Eler, Sandy and Junior - reminds my youth, Ivete Sangalo, Cláudia Leite, Capital Inicial, justo name a few) Fav actor/actress: Glória Pires ,Lílian Cabral, Aline Moraes,Tony Ramos
Unforgettable film: ”Desenrola” (lol). Coming soon but I´ve considered it as an unforgettable experience for my acting career. Also "Se eu fosse Você, Titanic, 13 going on 30
Fav food: Yaksoba, Strogonoff, Pizza, Arroz a Piamontese com medalhão
Fav body part: My head and what´s inside it (lol)

The best of life is...to be able to enjoy every moment of our lives and keep them in our memories forever
The craziest thing she´s ever ever done in a summertime season: Travel by car during my vacations to Bahia, but it seemed that we never arrived in that place lol
Love X Dating: I have a boyfriend and we´ve been dating for one year and 8 months. We love to talk, to have a real good time together. We have our moments in a very special way
Sports: I love playing volley, bike, bodyboard, frescobol and go to the gym
Another unforgettable moment: When I got Floquinho, my puppy. It was my first dream coming true at 7 years old and he´s been with me since then

The Projects

Besides my upcoming film "Desenrola" and soap opera "Cama de Gato", I´m involved with a new project that I can´t reveal to you guys yet but soon I´ll let you all know about it. I wish you guys a terrific 2010!
