|
![]() |
He started his modeling career working with fashion designers like Calvin Klein and shooting with some of the best photographers in NYC and Miami. And now, as a professional actor, he´s been nominated for a couple of Acting Awards and has 2 films coming out. Meet the cool american guy Nathan Marlow!
well, thank you for having me. I’m from a small town in Oklahoma called FT. Gibson. It has one stop light in the whole town so I´m sure you can imagine how small it is. I grew up mostly in a town rich in tradition with sports, so I started playing soccer when I was 8 years old and then, as I got older started to play football and basketball. I never shied away from the arts though. I did a few plays when I had time, followed by my first modeling job when I was a senior in High School. I had the opportunity to do a fashion show and had a blast. Soon after that, I was hooked. Following the fashion show I went to college. Played sports in college but I needed extra money to survive - you know the college life ha!!!. So I joined this small agency in Oklahoma City. I did a lot of print work and commercials as well. The agency actually discovered me in a mall. I know how ironic huh, but they asked me to come in for a shoot and I agreed and the rest was history. I got my first real test shoot with Calvin Klein. I had a friend that wanted to work with me send them some pics and they wanted to see me in person so that’s when I took off to NYC. After college, I took off to LA where I shot with Abercrombie and tests shoots with Polo as well. I’ve done projects with Yoga magazines, with Toyota and some other ones I can’t think of off the top of my head. I shot with some of the best photographers in NYC and Miami. It’s truly been a great experience I must say. Working with each photographer is always different. I feel the first 10 minutes everyone is feeling each other out. I really don’t have any preparation and I usually do a shot of something to loosen me up. That’s a must! Runways, The acting years, Show Biz, LA! The best story I have and will always remember is when I was doing a runway show in NYC. This guy came out of nowhere and took a picture of me and I literally couldn’t see the runway at all. Then, I collided with another model and her and I feel off the stage haha never forget it!! She wasn’t too happy with me either ? I bought her a drink afterwards and it was all good. Well, I have been acting out here in LA for 6 years now. With some moderate success. Been nominated for a couple of acting awards and 2 of my films have won best film. My modeling agent I’m sure gets really frustrated with me. I’m always changing my looks, shaving my head or loosing, gaining weight etc. I think show business is interesting. This town I feel is what you make of it. You have everything at your disposal - you name it!! So this town can swallow you up or it can make you a stronger person to truly dig deep inside of yourself and find out what you are made of. My philosophy is “be true to yourself” I’ve always believed in that! Nathan by himself
1. Faith I feel those five can take you through life no matter what curve ball it throws at you! Human Rights, Free of speech, wars and sexual behavior? Man that’s a touchy one I don’t think you can ever win by answering that one ha I’ll let the politicians be hated on that! His fashion style: My fashion is always changing I must say. I’m a sweats type of guy. Nothing is better to me than being at home drinking a nice bottle of wine in sweats. When out in the real world having to socialize I love a great button up shirt with a sport coat and some nice jeans. Dating X Love:My style of dating is tough one. I’m so picky, so so picky. The older I have become, I must say I’m going back to my roots. I really love southern women. We just understand each other I guess.
Anonymous in a crowd, then all of a sudden, a fan approaches you and reveals to others that you are a very popular and famous actor. Crowd gets wild. How would you handle it?:
Well, first of all, I have to laugh at that one. I can only imagine that haha. I’m not a guy who likes a lot of attention, so I would be flattered first of all. Then, my second reaction would be they must have me mistaken and third would be are they sure they have the right guy?
Upcomiing Projects I have 2 films coming out: Dead Cat Bounce and Green Guys - they are screening in LA in the coming months. I’m always up for doing a modeling shoot anytime as well. Main Motto: "Being true to yourself" Name- Nathan Marlow Info contact Manager Sean Meier NTA Models LA Thanks for having me Nathan
