In his hometown, where it all began

Hello everybody. I´m Paolo Stella, an italian guy, an actor and I have just one desire in my life: to do my job well. The only problem is that I want to do it in a really fast way, so I spend all of my energy and focus on it. I live in Rome, but you will usually find me in Paris. I love French cinema and I want to work there someday! By the way, I also love LA and go there whenever I can - actually, sooner or later I want to live there. When I was 13 I decided to be an actor and I really fought hard to get the main character in a school play and guess what, in the end, I won! Before acting became a part of my life, I was never really happy, so I started acting through my pursuit for happiness!

I really love my job! A lot of people want to be in the performing arts just to be famous and it´s a mistake to think that you will be famous just because you chose this profession. Show business is made and ruled by people and therefore just like any other career, you´ll find honest as well as not so good people. But, so far I’ve been a lucky guy to find only the good ones!

In front of camera with some cool and funny moments!

My first acting experience in front of a camera was in a tv series called "Un ciclone in famiglia". I was one of the main characters (yep, that was a good start!) In the first day on the set I had a scene with an actress who played my wife and we were fighting for our son (family issues) and it was funny because the actress and I hadn´t met each other before, yet we had to come across as husband and wife! It was our first scene! A funny moment was definitely last year while I was filming a really deep and intimate scene in Rome’s City Centre. Somebody was telling me on the phone that my girlfriend had just died. Meanwhile, in the street there was a homeless woman really excited because of the camera and crew. I kept acting and talking into the phone and the woman started to shout at me: "bastard, son of a b*. I was supposed to be so sad, but I couldn´t stop laughing and you guys can imagine the final result LOL

It´s always an adventure when I pose for a photographer. It´s really important to create a synergy with them and I need to understand what´s on their mind which helps me decide whether to follow their ideas (or not). Most of the time, I do and I love to see the results of their unique point of views when they shoot me.

Fav singer and which music he´s hearing in his IPOD: I'm in Lisa Harris mood now, but usually my moods are really short.

Current, upcoming projects and expectations for 2010:

I'm in a spy series. I play a young detective. I'm waiting for the release of a movie that I did last year "Penso che un sogno così" directed by Marco de Luca as I really loved it. And I´ll be appearing in an american film shortly but I can’t give too much away except it is set in Boston.
