My name is Vanessa Cruz, 19 years old and I'm from Morro Reuter, a german colony and a very small brazilian city, located in south region.

The Big Contest

I never thought that I could be a model. My friend asked me to go with her to a small contest in my hometown. There was a scouter from São Paulo in this contest and he talked to my mother. He asked her permission to go to São Paulo with me to be in a big contest there. And guess what, I was the winner of Ford Super Model of the World!

The first test shooting: nervous and anxious!

In my first test shooting everything was new for me, I was very nervous and anxious.

Beautiful Places

The best thing about being a model is to be able to travel around the world and see beautiful places

Working with photographers: no previous preparations

I like that every photographer has a different style to shoot and I learn different things. I don't have any special preparation before shooting

Unusual backstages stories and the catwalks experiences

I was in a show and I had to run to the next one, but they didn't have time to have my hair fixed. I was the only one in the catwalk that had a diferent hair style!

I´ve walked for for Lanvin, Calvin klein, Cacharel, Carolina Herrera, Tory Burch, Marchesa, just to name a few!

A fashionista?

I don´t follow fashion´s trends. I like to wear what makes me feel good and comfortable. Everyday, a different style

Suddenly a fan reveals to others you are a famous model. The crowd gets wild! How would you handle it?
